ECHO Magazine 2020

ECHO Magazine is a keystone workshop class at Columbia College Chicago that brought design and journalism students together to create a beautiful magazine with articles that stepped away from the average “student magazine” . We originally chose to go with a theme of “Death” due to many previous issues being a little “soft” for our liking, but an unexpected global pandemic put a damper on that idea. Designers also offered a hand in writing articles due to us outnumbering the journalists. I designed and Illustrated the “Green Burial” article, the staff page, and I researched, wrote, and designed the article, “The Cost of Dying Might Kill You”, unfortunately I did not have a say in the title.

ECHO 2020 was recognized by the Graphis Competitions and won the Graphis Silver Award in their
International New Talent Competition seen here.

The entirety of the magazine can be viewed here.
